VO Atlanta Ambassadors Rock!

Voiceover City, LLC is excited about its upcoming VO Atlanta – Voiceover Conference. We look forward to having you as part of our exceptional ambassador team.  We are committed to making this conference an incredible experience for all who attend and invite you to join us in making this happen.

Our conference ambassadors will be assigned to assist in many different areas on a first come, first serve basis and based on the needs of the conference.  In return for your service and commitment, each volunteer receives a greatly discount on the cost of their full conference registration.

Ambassador Roles and Responsibilities

Registration Assistant

Assist the registration staff with attendee registration, distribution of conference packets, and serve as a “relief person” for registration staff; manage the conference information center – answering questions, giving directions and responding the other inquiries as needed. Includes conference packet and badge assembly, organizing, and transporting to the various registration stations. If you’re people friendly, inviting, and able to move at a fast pace, giving attention to individuals as well as details, this is your role.

Session Attendant (Host/Hostess)

Arrive at assigned session in advance, make sure room is in order before session starts, check attendee badges as they enter to ensure they are in the right session/room, distribute any designated handouts for the session, answer any questions attendees may have as they enter, ensure room is left in order after the session. This is a great role that allows you to experience sessions while completing your volunteer hours with an increased opportunity to avail yourself of new areas of expertise you might have otherwise missed. This role could quite possibly Elevate you to the next level in your career!

Exhibit Hall Attendant

Serve as a visible presence in the Exhibit Hall, monitor activity, ensure there are no safety issues, interact with attendees and exhibitors and answer questions as needed. This role gives the opportunity to mix and mingle with a wide variety of participants, exhibitors, sponsors, and speakers. For those of you desiring a great Networking experience while attending VO 2016, this is it!

Pre and Post Conference Loader/Unloader

Assist with the loading of items for the conference and reloading of items at the end of conference.  This position DOES NOT work during the actual conference and will not interfere with any scheduled conference activities.  Persons for this position MUST be able to lift and move items up to 75 pounds.  You may also assist in the lifting of heavier items as needed.

Speaker Attendant

Attend assigned session and ensure the Presenter/Speaker has everything they need (water, microphone, hand-outs, etc.) Distribute hand-outs and make sure engineer has any audio and/or video materials needed for the session.

This is a high profile role and one that provides direct access to our presenters.  The speaker attendant must be professional at all times.

Social Media Attendant

Scours conference events, sessions, and activities; Share conference ”happenings” via social media sites (FB, twitter, blogs), take photos and perform on-the-spot interviews with presenters, attendees, and organizers, etc. Each ambassador will be asked to participate in elevating our social media attention during the conference. This includes actively tweeting, IG and FB posts, as well as capturing special moments on your phone camera to email conference staff. If you have a passion and expertise in this area, you could become our Social Media Point Person to insure all aspects of the conference are well covered.

Technology Assistant

These assistants help with all things technology and audio-video related. If you’re interested in assisting with the setup, configuration, and running of our technology assets, this is the area for you. This role could include recording some sessions with instructions from A/V staff, as well as operating/monitoring the mixer in larger sessions.

In-Conference Setup

Assist with the setup of equipment and staging for the conference and conference related sessions.  This may include placing chairs on/off stage, moving monitors, projectors, computers, etc.  At the end of sessions, may assist with changing room over to new setup.  Persons for this position MUST be able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.  You may also assist in the lifting of heavier items as needed.
