I have been using business networking to grow my VO business since 2014, and I can now trace around 50% of my work back to networking. My session will look at what networking is, how to find meetings, how to prepare for a meeting, what to do at a meeting, and how to follow up afterward.
There is definitely a right way and a wrong way to go about networking, and my hints and tips will give you the confidence to go out and try networking for yourself – or if it is something you have already tried, this session will help you get more out of it.
Networking can provide your business with so much more than just leads – I have found great suppliers, help, and guidance on a range of business topics, information about what’s going on in my local business community, and an army cheerleader for my business who now help me with my marketing.
If you are not networking (or you are doing it wrong) you could potentially be missing out on business. By networking consistently in your home town, you could easily become the go-to voice-over artist in your local area.
So, if you’re currently not working (very much), you should try networking!
